The NUX Brownie packs classic British rock tones of the 1970s into a compact and affordable stompbox. Designed to capture the feel and response of a cranked vintage tube amp, the Brownie delivers warm, organic overdrive and distortion with the punch, sustain, and character players love.

Using a hybrid circuit design, the Brownie recreates both preamp and power tube-style distortion characteristics for a dynamic amp-like response. Its specially designed BJT input stage breaks up naturally as gain increases, while the asymmetrical clipping section adds rich harmonic character and touch-sensitive feel. Tight low-end response keeps your tone focused and clear, even with higher gain settings.

The onboard tone control uses a low-pass filter inspired by the classic Variac effect, helping smooth the top end and shape your treble response for vintage-style crunch or singing lead tones. A modern low-noise op-amp and LED clipping section help deliver smooth, balanced saturation with excellent clarity.

Finished with true bypass switching and a high-quality mechanical footswitch, the Brownie is built for dependable performance on stage, in the studio, or at home.
